Photography to me is a means to express my love for the beauty of colour and light. I started off shooting nature but later developed an interest in wildlife and action photography. Today, as a photojournalist with the nation’s largest English newspaper, THE STAR, I cover almost every topic in modern photography but my speciality lies in sports, news and fashion. It may surprise some that my photography skills are self taught as my background lies in information technology. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Information Technology Multimedia from Charles Sturt University, New South Wales, Australia. I was born and bred in the northern state of Penang, but I am currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Photography is my life and I am lucky to be making a living out of what I love passionately! The only equipment advice I can offer is to use what you are comfortable with. Big, fast, "professional" glass is not necessary to take outstanding photos. Proper composition and exposure will go a long way towards making your shots extraordinary. "I want a picture to reflect not only the forms but what I had seen and felt at the moment of exposure" - Ansel Adams "I don't respect reputation - it's the picture that count" - Andy Rouse
