Shape Shifter arrived!!

Finally picked up my new toy, Think Tank Shape Shifter,Ā Ā a clever, way-cool photo backpack that expands and contracts. Thanks to Leo Koo of hambone.com.myĀ and the people at Think Tank Photo!Ā šŸ™‚

The Shape Shifter compressed (top), to, and expanded (below)

Fits my 2 bodies (Canon Mark IIN, Mark III), 3 lenses (16-35 2.8, 28-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8),Ā 2Ā speedlite (580EX andĀ 580EXII) plus a 12″ Dell notebook . There are still plenty of rooms for power adapter and other small accessories.

Gears sitting on top of the neoprene pocket it fits into.

Gears placed inside the Shape Shifter’s five neoprene pockets.

Like like most of Think Tank Photo’s products, a rain cover is included.

Retailing at RM888, (which is a little pricey)Ā this backpack is not for everyone šŸ˜› If u’re a photojournalist or one that makes a living shooting, editing and transmitting pictures on location, this is the backpack to grab!!

PocketWizard Plus II problem

For those owning PocketWizard Plus II with serial number 609xxxx,Ā you might be facing the same problem as I am. Here’s a reply from Patrick Clow, Web Marketing & Tech Support Manager

I have replicated your problem with high speed motor drive issues.Ā  We are looking into the problem.Ā  Your 608xxxx unit is a Plus 2.0.Ā  Your 609xxxx unit is a Plus 2.1 unit.Ā  They should not have the issue you describe, so we are working on a correction.
Ā 
As far as Transmit Only mode, the following should help:
Ā 
PLUS 2.0 Normal blink rateĀ – 1 blink every 2 seconds
Ā 
PLUS 2.0 TX Only blink rateĀ – 1 blink every 1 second
Ā 
PLUS 2.1 Normal blink rateĀ – 1 blink every 3.5 seconds
Ā 
PLUS 2.1 TX Only blink rateĀ – 1 blink every 1.75 seconds
